Flights

Last year C and I took the longest commercial flight in the world.  It is a 19.5 hour flight between Singapore and Newark, all business class.  It was the best flight in the world at the worst time.  We were traveling home for C’s grandfather’s funeral.  I can tell you that the comfort of that flight was a huge help in making that trip home bearable.  It would have been impossible to attend the event if we had the normal jet-lag inducing layover flights back to the States that we book on our own.

So with those fond memories of the SIN-EWR in mind I discovered on the Points Guy blog that the route will be closed.  Here is the article.  I recommend the rest of the blog too if you are into travel and loyalty programs.  Maybe I’ll try and book that flight one more time before we leave Singapore.
